Here’s what happened.
First, I got super busy with work and family and my brain just couldn’t quiet down enough for me to read. As a result, I’m way behind in my reading challenge but I still have hope that I’ll meet it.
Then came September, and with it a new inspiration to read. In the last month and half I finished probably 6 or 7 books, including American Gods and A Monster Calls, both I had put aside when I wasn’t being able to concentrate. I read a fantastic collection of science fiction short stories recommended by my friend Mike Drucker (you should definitely follow him on Twitter and listen to his podcasts) called Stories of Your Life And Others and gave up on a book I was really curious about because it was from an author I’ve read before and really enjoyed. To make it worse, a lot of people I know and admire on GoodReads love the book, but I just couldn’t get to it and just jumped to the last pages to see how it ended.
Anyway, as you can see I have a lot to review, and trust me, a lot I really loved and excited me and made me thing. The only problem right now is that I am not inspired to write. I’m actually surprised as how long this text actually is since it was supposed to be a simple ‘hello, I’m still alive and reading’ note.
The point is, the reviews will come. They may take a while, but they will come.
Meanwhile, keep reep reading and keep living! I send you love!
